Helen SILVIE plays both the classical and Celtic harp. She studied in Paris and at the National Conservatory of Music in Lyon where she was awarded the First Prize in the harp competition.
She went on to win several prizes in musical interpretation, and in particular, at the international competitions in Lorient, Dinan and Killarney.  Since then she has been passionately exploring the harp’s variety of musical techniques with recitals, chamber music (with different groupings of instruments and most recently the flute and harp Rigwetti Duet) and orchestras. (She performs with many Parisian orchestras such as the Bel ‘Arte Orchestra and the lyrical and symphonic Orchestre des Haut Seine.)  Her eclecticism is evident in her varied body of work, which combines not only classical pieces for the harp and music performed in an intimate setting such as a tea salon, but also a completely original repertoire. Ms. SILVIE’s curiosity and natural enthusiasm set the stage for her to meet a wide variety of musically-gifted individuals with whom she has created many works. She appears regularly abroad and shares her musical discoveries with her audience. Helen SILVIE also teaches and has been giving Master classes in the United States since 2001.
